A little bit about me.
I'm a San Diego native who has lived several places around the country and even the world, my father having been in the Air Force. I went to college to be an illustrator and graphic artist, but the real world led me first into light industrial work, and then office positions. While not where I'd imagined myself heading at that time in my life, that path still held invaluable lessons and experiences for me.
My hard work and eagerness to learn and explore got me into accounting, which I enjoyed, but more recently I started to miss the creative side of life. Then I discovered web design and development. Now I'm making a full switch to front-end development, where I can offer the artistic eye of a graphic designer coupled with an accountant's consistency, precision, and eye for detail.
My focus is writing clean, well-formatted, semantic HTML5 by hand to make sure that the content is accessible and easy to read, collaborate, and trouble-shoot.
I pride myself on writing CSS that is easy to read and build on. I focus on keeping my CSS lean and fast to load, and I make it a habit to stay up to date on current best practices.
